Much has been said about Charles and the Queen Mother, especially because their bond was reportedly so strong. However, little is known about his relationship with his grandfather, King George VI.
That’s because he unexpectedly passed away at just 56 in 1952, a year after this touching moment was snapped. As such, it wasn’t surprising that Charles didn’t have a lot of photos with the late King, who would be so proud of his grandson if he were to see him today.
