Checking In on Hunter at Lunch
Nicole knew it wasn’t her son’s fault that he was late. He would have arrived earlier if they didn’t have trouble with their vehicle. She felt guilty for being part of why her son would being punished, so she wanted to check on him during his lunch break.
When she arrived at the cafeteria, she saw him seated at the first table all by himself. He had a cardboard poster partition and two or three books in front of him.
