James Gandolfini – Started At Age 38
No one is more feared and revered when discussing modern films or TV mobsters than James Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano. He did make waves by appearing in “True Romance” and “Crimson Tide.” Nonetheless, getting cast as a lead actor in the sensational HBO series “The Sopranos” at 38 brought him worldwide fame.
James became a three-time Primetime Emmy Award winner for portraying the crime boss between 1999 and 2007. Sadly, he passed in June 2013 while vacationing in Rome.
