VACANT HOMES OUTNUMBER THE HOMELESS
One of life’s essential requirements is having a place to call home. Unfortunately, according to World Population Review, there are over half a million individuals in the United States who are without permanent residence. These people live in temporary shelters and sleep in abandoned buildings, which puts them at higher risk of victimization and poor health.
To make matters worse, there are more empty houses than there are homeless people. In 2022, research from LendingTree revealed that there are over 16 million vacant homes in America.
