It’s genuinely thought-provoking to consider the strange nature of social media. Despite not having a tangible presence in the physical world, many individuals seem to act as if it is their only reality. Yet, the fabricated communities we construct in these virtual spaces are starting to resemble the real world.
Facebook, for example, is used by about 72% of the American internet population. However, according to an Oxford University study, this social media platform will eventually reflect more deceased users than living ones by 2070. Isn’t that eerie?
