LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD WITH A CANNIBALISTIC TWIST
We all have childhood memories of fairytales, whether from reading them as bedtime stories or watching adaptations on TV. “Little Red Riding Hood” is one of these beloved tales. But the standard version of this European story, in which a young girl visits her grandmother and encounters a dangerous wolf, has a darker origin.
In the version we are familiar with, the little girl and her grandmother escape the terrifying encounter unscathed. However, in one original story, the wolf tricks her into eating her grandmother.
