THE CORPSE ON SET IS NOT A PROP
In 1976, the crew of the TV show “The Six Million Dollar Man” was filming at the Pike Amusement Park in Long Beach, California. They were preparing to shoot an episode inside the “Laff in the Dark” ride, known for its spooky tunnel with ghouls, demons, and skeletons.
During setup, a crew member found a hanging mannequin. But upon grabbing its arm, the limb broke off, and they realized it was the body of outlaw Elmer McCurdy, who died 65 years prior in a gun battle with law enforcement.
