REAL HUMAN BONES AT DISNEYLAND
Did you know that the original props for Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride were real skeletons? When the ride opened in 1967, the skeletal attractions were made from actual human bones. Over time, the Imagineers at Disney improved their skills and were able to create realistic bones that were not human.
But in the treasure room of the Captain’s Quarters, a pirate is depicted lying on his mattress, studying a map with a magnifying glass. This was confirmed as the last remaining real skull used in the ride.
