The saga continued in October with another back surgery, temporarily derailing his golf career. The suspense thickened as Woods vanished from the scene for 16 months.
Nonetheless, he astounded the world by completing all 72 holes at the Hero World Challenge in 2016. As per Rickie Fowler, Woods outdistanced him, raising the bar of Tiger frenzy. The countdown began, and Woods would return triumphantly in 16 days.
