Calming Her Fears

First, the woman asked for proof of identification, showing they were indeed law officers. For security reasons and for the residents’ safety, an officer is required to identify himself. Also, since it is the right of a citizen to request it, they complied and were invited in.

The fear on the woman’s face was unmistakable, and the officers had to calm her down as she was already panicking. They assured her this was nothing more than a necessary check-in. The real reason for the visit was then revealed.
