Kanaby’s Unique Approach
As a Secaucus, New Jersey native, Kanaby knew just how important Montclair’s College Hall was to the citizens of his home state. When he first saw the building, he realized immediately which equipment he was going to need.
When people think of demolitions, they imagine big explosions and great clouds of smoke. That morning, though, Kanaby arrived on campus alone and carrying nothing but a few bags with manual tools such as a hammer and a chipper. There was an art to demolishing, and Kanaby understood this better than anyone.
