The Hanly and Lennon bottle is now one of Montclair State University’s most prized artifacts. According to People magazine, the uni’s associate vice president for capital planning and project management, Mike Zanko, assured the bottle was going to be exhibited alongside the letter.

Divine justice, karma, cosmic balance, you name it: what’s certain is that, more than 100 years after making a historic New-Jersey building, two once-anonymous bricklayers from Newark finally got the recognition they deserved. It’s a lesson from the past that should serve us well in the future.
