Ricardo Montalbán – Started At Age 62
Ricardo Montalbán moved to the United States from Mexico City at 23. After years of hard work, he began to find more consistent work in his 50s. His first major success was “Escape From the Planet of the Apes”, released when he was 51.
Soon after, Ricardo was cast as Mr. Roarke in the famous TV show, “Fantasy Island.” However, it was in his early 60s when he gained international recognition for playing Khan in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” He continued to act and receive critical acclaim until his death in 2009.
