Bob Ross – Started At Age 41

Bob Ross spent two decades in the U.S. Air Force, and while serving, he found his penchant for art. After retiring, he taught himself to paint and became everybody’s favorite artistic teacher at 41.

In 1982, Bob launched the “Joy of Painting” on public television with his partners. To promote the TV show and reach a greater audience, the passionate artist toured America, teaching others to paint.
