India’s Twin Mysteries
Twin births have long puzzled humanity, and while science has shed light on many aspects of this phenomenon, the reasons behind such occurrences remain enigmatic. However, in two small Indian villages, Kodinhi and Mohammedpur Umri, the twin birth rate defies global norms.

In Kodinhi, a village with 2,000 residents, 42 out of every 1,000 births result in twins—a rate significantly higher than the global average. Meanwhile, Mohammedpur Umri, located near Allahabad, boasts an even more remarkable statistic, with 120 of its 900 inhabitants being twins. These villages remain a captivating anomaly, continuing to intrigue researchers and the curious alike.
