The Indian Village Where Snakes Are Welcome Guests
Believe it or not, Shetpal is an Indian village where over 2,600 villagers peacefully coexist with snakes. Homes are equipped with ‘cobra huts,’ where these limbless reptiles can comfortably stay, just in case.
Snakes here aren’t just tolerated; they are revered. Villagers worship these serpents and, astonishingly, even allow their children to interact with them unsupervised. Remarkably, there is no reported case of a deadly snakebite, a testament to the unique harmony between humans and these feared creatures, where fearlessness and respect define their relationship.
