It Was Personal
Everybody can relate to Antonett’s tragic story. Mariah, the designer she reached out to, was particularly struck by it. Like Antonett, she had also lost someone she loved to gun violence. She gave it all anytime she made a new dress. She was particularly motivated to do a great job.
Once she realized what kind of dress Antonett was looking for, she knew the best materials and ornaments to use. It was personal—not just for Antonett, but for Mariah too.
