Much Bigger Than Expected
Even to Glover, this was an extraordinary hive. The size of it was a testament to how long these bees had been living in these walls, and the more he removed rows of bricks, the more concerned he got that he didn’t have enough resources to accommodate their relocation.
The process of moving them over is a procedure that involves smoking them, then luring them out of their current hive and into one of Glover’s purpose-built ones. These then get put in a brood box to transport to the apiary.
