Prince Albert II traded Monaco’s glitz for the quieter ivy-covered walls of Amherst College in Massachusetts in 1977. He swapped the soirées for study sessions and focused on pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Things were looking up for the young prince. He even joined the Chi Psi fraternity and jetted off to the University of Bristol for an exchange program. By the time he graduated in 1981, he appeared to be a changed man—much to his mother’s relief.
