The transformation

Simina, over the course of four years, slowly changed until she had only a few tufts of fur protruding from her underbelly like a bad woolen bedskirt. The rest of her coat except for a bit of peach fuzz here and there.

However, the family did not blink at what their cat had become-a Sphynx that had been crossed with another breed of cat-despite its transformation. As far as they were concerned-and as far as many others were concerned-Simina was cute (if not a bit strange-looking). However, she did start to develop some strange habits over time.
