When showcasing epic crowd scenes, “Star Wars” doesn’t mess around! In Episode I, “The Phantom Menace,” model maker Michael Lynch whipped up a wild solution to create a roaring crowd. Imagine 450,000 cotton swabs transformed into fans by his magical touch!

But it doesn’t end there. To truly capture the cheering spectacle, filmmakers added fans underneath the scene. Speaking of which, the popular opening crawl of the 1977 production was done on black paper with yellow text.
