Secrets of Magic, CGI, and Unbreakable Bonds
In “Pan’s Labyrinth,” Guillermo del Toro weaves a tale that keeps audiences hooked between enchantment and darkness. Interestingly, the film’s original plot was reportedly even darker.
Pictured here is the ‘Fauno,’ a central character in the story with our young protagonist. Contrary to what many fans might believe, no CGI was involved here. Instead, ‘Fauno’ was played by American actor and contortionist Doug Jones. He also played the creature in 2017’s ”The Shape of Water” and Abe Sapien in ”Hellboy II: The Golden Army.”
