One trademark symptom of ADHD is difficulty regulating emotions, and one of its manifestations is procrastination. These two characteristics often interchange and can come out at work, school, or even when resting at home.

Procrastination can lead to negative emotions, which can evolve into low self-esteem. As a result, one can experience feelings of shame, guilt, and frustration. In turn, these negative emotions make one put off pending tasks, and the cycle goes on.
