Scientifically speaking, sleeping with ADHD can be challenging because of the lesser GABA in the system. There is also a delayed sleep phase syndrome, where the circadian rhythm doesn’t coordinate appropriately. Lastly, the sleep hormone melatonin could also be at poor levels.

So if one finds comfort in falling asleep over serial murder podcasts or other topics, then so be it! Maybe the brain finds comfort in listening to such areas after all.
