Jackie felt embarrassed about what had just transpired, and she was quick to apologize to her husband for acting in such a poor way. Moreover, she wanted to make up to the waitress for misinterpreting her intentions.
Jackie located the lady behind the counter and joyfully mouthed “Thank you” to the kind lady. The date had gone better than expected and this surprise had made her day even better. The kids were stuffed, and their fussiness had dropped several notches compared to how they were at home. Who would have thought that the odd note would be such a kind gesture?
