Jackie found it strange that her husband didn’t even bring the note up. A waitress had just done something dodgy, but the man was tight-lipped about the encounter. If Jackie hadn’t witnessed the exchange, she’d be none the wiser.
Despite the glaring red flags, our good lady tried her best to have positive thoughts. Maybe her husband was a regular client at the establishment, and the waitress knew him? On the other hand, perhaps the waitress knew her husband from somewhere, and she was exchanging contacts to catch up for old time’s sake? Whatever the case, Jackie had to get to the bottom of it sooner than later.
