The Gall
The family was having a great time at the restaurant, and everything was going great. Even the kids were getting a treat for being well-behaved. Even the ambience was excellent. On the other hand, the waitress did a stellar job tending to her customers too.
Even so, it seems the excellent service was just a ruse to get Jackie to drop her guard as the waitress waited for an opportunity to slip Tom the note. It was a well-calculated move since the lady waited for the wife to move aside before attempting this bold action. This is what got Jackie worked up.
