Dogs From an Alternative Universe
In the short film “Mariko Takahashi’s Fitness Video for Being Appraised as an Ex-Fat Girl,” the presence of dogs and their similarly shaped trainer stands out. It is no surprise that dogs are the most popular pets worldwide, as they can increase levels of dopamine and oxytocin, which may explain why people like to imitate them.
However, the director of the film, Nagi Noda, has never revealed why the people in the video were dressed in dog costumes. Sadly, this hugely talented artist passed away in 2008.
