Dogs have a specialized structure in their noses called the Jacobson’s organ, also known as the vomeronasal organ, which allows them to detect pheromones and subtle scents, contributing to their unique reactions and behaviors in new environments like a campsite! Maybe that’s why we can’t predict their next move.
