The Job Doesn’t Pay Very Well
It is easy to assume that a flight attendant’s employment is luxury travel, sightseeing, hotel stays, and restaurant meals. Yet the reality is that they virtually always have a full agenda and seem to be working around the clock.
However, they are not compensated for their time spent doing emergency equipment checks, assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, and post-flight cleaning until the main cabin doors have closed. That means that they are similarly impacted by delays and cancellations.
