Pilots Have The Ultimate Authority
Many people find flying to be unnerving and question if they are in safe hands. There are air marshals aboard planes, and their presence may lead people to believe they have complete control, but this is not the case.
The Pilot In Command must approve every decision made during the flight. He’s in command of the plane from takeoff through landing and is accountable for everyone on board. That gives flyers confidence that the aircraft is in safe hands.
