Letting Go

The little girl cried her heart out when Kay was being taken away. The officers didn’t think he was a good fit for a home. Panthers can be turned into great pets when raised with care from childhood. But while that might be true, they are still wild creatures. The chances of them becoming unmanageable are pretty high.

Taking Kay away was the safer option. The kid didn’t like the idea, but at least Kay would be staying somewhere he was going to feel at home. Maybe a jungle in India where his kind roamed freely with black leopards.
