Writing book reviews can be a minefield—give an honest opinion, but be kind to the author. Do both? Ouch. But this reader sure let theirs fly all the way. Even Joey Acker’s 2019 publication, “The Worst Book in the Whole Entire World,” didn’t deserve it.
Book reviews, however, are more than just entertainment though. They can make or break a book, and for authors, they’re critical. A positive review can boost sales and introduce new readers to an author’s work.
