The fairytale wedding finally happened in 1981, and the event was an absolute spectacle, watched by millions of people worldwide. People were especially excited to see Diana’s dress, which was covered in pearls and had an incredibly long train—the longest in royal history, in fact!
The dress was designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who were a husband-and-wife design team. Her ring is also stunning, a 12-carat sapphire stone surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds, all set in a white gold band.
