The New Guy Was Awkward

Besides the ex-girlfriend, the new boyfriend felt pretty awkward about the situation. But there was nothing he could do about it; the guy’s name was on the lease, and he had every right to be there.

All the new boyfriend could do was go with what was happening. That must have been awkward for him but also frustrating since he most likely wanted to do something about the situation. For now, watching events unfold was all he could do.
