A Dream Came True
The Iraq invasion in 2003 provided Willaim with the opportunity to pursue his goals and realize his aspirations. As one of the 177,194 soldiers that were sent to the conflict zone, he made his way there.
He said goodbye to his fiancée, his family, and his whole life as he knew it, and then he made plans for the worst-case scenario. His loved ones awaited him to come home, hoping that he wouldn’t be one of the thousands of people who would never return.
