Rebecca couldn’t understand what was happening. At first, she couldn’t understand that it was their stuff piled outside, but when she got a closer look, she saw all her family’s possessions in the yard.
It was like they were being evicted and she was terrified. It was only a few moments later that it hit her. They were indeed being evicted, and all the locks on the house were changed. Her stuff was thrown out, and she had no way to enter.
