Making Contact

Rebecca’s mom pushed her to go for it. In reality, she just wanted gossip about the family, but it worked out in Rebecca’s favor. She messaged him, he asked for her number and then called her.

Rebecca wasn’t used to getting random calls like this, but it went surprisingly well. She got more comfortable as the call went on. Minutes turned into hours, and they were talking all night on the phone like teenagers. She felt like a piece of her heart was being mended.
