When we think of our life, we think of meeting the perfect person and settling down. We think of starting a family, and once all of that is complete, we think nothing could go wrong. However, this is not the reality for many people and was definitely not the reality for nurse Rebecca Goedecke.

She thought she had it all: a daughter, a good career, and a loving husband. Rebecca’s worst nightmare was just about to begin, and her family would be greatly affected.

Before It All Happened

Rebecca had a very happy life. It was like the calm before the storm. She described her life as idyllic. She was married to the love of her life, they had a nice home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and they even had a daughter together.

It was all very perfect and very normal. She lived near the beach and could go anytime she wanted. It was pretty much all going according to plan. However, that didn’t last very long for her.
