Clowns are often regarded as a source of entertainment. But their creepy appearance is enough to frighten most children and even adults. So in trying to entertain his grandchild, the man in the picture painted his face like a clown.

Though it may have seemed like a good idea, it’s much more likely to have done more harm than good. Interestingly, he almost looks like the terrible clown in Stephen King’s famous novel “It,” a character originally meant to be a shape-shifter.
