Stan Lee – Started At Age 39

At 17, Stan Lee joined the comic book industry as an assistant at Timely Publications. Despite eventually being promoted to running the department, it took some time for him to become a successful writer.

It wasn’t until 1961, when Stan Lee was nearly 39, that he released his first hit comic book. With a creative mind and passion for the industry, Stan Lee eventually became an icon in the comic book world by giving us characters like Spider-Man.
