Even before this picture captured thousands of netizens’ attention, some people out there actually held two holes in their ears. This man is a visual representation of preauricular pits and one of the small population who have this congenital malformation.
According to research by the American Academy of Family Physicians research, this affects between five and ten babies in every 1,000 live births. Although it is rare, it is considered harmless, and its unique physical characteristics are not features of serious medical complications.
