Working With Bricks Is A Challenge
One challenge Glover wasn’t looking forward to was working with bricks. Due to the moisture caused by honeycomb, bricks can crumble when removed. Bricks also crack, which could be a problem as they could damage the hive. Sometimes removing hives from brick houses can be fatal for the hive.
What the homeowners should be grateful for is that the colony was still alive. One of the worst things that could happen to a hive in a wall is if the colony dies. Bees keep the honeycomb cool by fanning it with their wings, so with no bees, it can melt, soaking the walls and discoloring them too.
