Gugu Mbatha-Raw Said Art Made Her Introspective

In an interview with “Today,” “Scarface” star Gugu Mbatha-Raw revealed that she would have pursued art but that it made her “introspective.” Instead, she tried acting and loved it because it helped her improve herself.

Back when she didn’t have a lot of projects, Mbatha-Raw turned to art again, creating realistic portraits of the late George Floyd, comedian Kevin Hart, and bishop Desmond Tutu. Luckily, she let her creative juices flow through her paintbrush when her work stopped trickling.
