When Charlene Wittstock met Prince Albert II at the Mare Nostrum swimming competition in Monte Carlo, she was only 22 and primarily focused on her swimming career. Despite not being emotionally prepared for a relationship, Charlene felt a “profound sense of destiny” upon meeting the prince.
