Welcoming A Brand New Decade – 1980

If we were to pick a word to describe this photo of the Brown sisters, it would be “relaxed.” In the first few pictures Nixon took, the sisters looked so stiff, as if they weren’t comfortable. This time, however, they appeared to be at ease with the camera and even looked like they were having a good time.

Well, we would enjoy it, too, since it’s welcoming a brand new decade. They were saying goodbye to the era of disco and bell-bottoms and saying hello to what some call the greatest decade in pop culture history – the 80s!
