Among Woodstock’s legacy are candid snapshots capturing concertgoers en route to the historic festival. This image features two women conversing with two men at a bus terminal, presumably awaiting their ride to the famed event.
Interestingly, the newspaper on the side is about celebrating Apollo 11’s historic moon landing, which had occurred around a month earlier. The space mission was a landmark achievement, with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin becoming the first humans to step onto the moon’s surface. And the ticker-tape parade in New York City was a testament to global fascination.
