Jefferson Airplane’s 8 a.m. Set
Grace Slick, the charismatic lead singer of Jefferson Airplane, performed with an electrifying presence at Woodstock. The band took the stage early in the morning and played some of their most famous hits. Grace’s powerful vocals and her unique, eye-catching stage attire made their performance unforgettable.
Grace famously greeted the sleepy crowd with “Good morning, people!” as their set began around 8 a.m. Her stirring rendition of “White Rabbit” at that early hour turned the unconventional performance time into a defining Woodstock moment.
