Claudine Auger
In France, Claudine Auger was renowned for being one of the most beautiful models in the industry in the 1950s, having won the Miss France Monde title and being the first runner-up in the 1958 Miss World competition. And like other models, she eventually started getting minor roles in films.
While enjoying her holiday in Nassau, she was spotted by the James Bond film “Thunderball” directors and given the role of Bond girl Dominique “Domino” Derval. Though initially meant for an Italian, they rewrote the part to fit her.
