The James Bond movie series embraces diversity when it comes to selecting Bond girls for the films. However, this was not the case in 1973 when Gloria Hendry became the first African-American woman to land the role in “Live and Let Die,” and boy, did she grab the opportunity with both hands!
Gloria portrayed the character of “Rosie Carver,” a CIA agent secretly working for the villain. Even though she has since appeared in numerous films, such as “Snow Black,” the role remains her favorite and ours.
